Coral Reef Senior High School, Miami's Mega-Magnet, is the only school of its kind in the state of Florida. A magnet school's mission is to provide innovative educational choices and enriched learning opportunities which foster academic excellence, high student achievement, career path exploration, real-world learning, and voluntary desegregation. Featuring magnet programs in six different areas as well as a full athletic and extra-curricular program, the school acts as a microcosm benefiting the larger Miami community. Coral Reef has been ranked in the top 100 public high schools in the nation by Newsweek magazine the last two years.
