- Newsweek Magazine has published America's Top 100 High Schools in the U.S. for 2006,
and once again Coral Reef ranked tops in Miami-Dade and 29th in the nation!
Among other Division 16-6A schools, Palmetto ranked 67th,
and Killian, South Dade, Homestead, Southridge, and Varela were not in the top 100.

- Coral Reef was 13th academically out of all public high schools (over 27,000)
in the United States for 2005 in a ranking undertaken by Newsweek magazine.
See the top 1000 schools here.
By way of comparison, Palmetto SHS was ranked 53rd, Killian 507th,
and Southridge, South Dade, and Homestead were not in the top 1000.
