BASEBALL BOOSTER MEETING MINUTES

DECEMBER 5, 2002

• 7:45 PM- Randy Flick, President called the meeting to order.

• The Agenda was distributed to all those attending

• Membership update was discussed

• Garage Sale:  Scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002 at Executive National bank- Kendall and 97^th Avenue.  Assistance was requested in bringing in items to sell.  Three moms had volunteered to serve as cashiers.

• CABA Games – Scheduled for Dec. 7, 2002 for JV.  Need assistance in concession.  A doubleheader will be played.  Should be done by 1:30 P.M. Varsity CABA Tournament- Sat/Sun Dec. 14 & 15- Need volunteers for concession.

• 2003 Media Guide Ads- 2002 books will be delivered with list of previous advertisers.

• Secretary Tom Graham resigned – volunteer requested.  Marisel Aleman volunteered for position.

• Special thanks and recognition given to Judy and Howard Cournoyer for all their hard work.

• Previous Fundraisers-

1. Art Auction- Nov. 2002- Raised $5,000
2. Homestead Races- Nov. 2002- Raised $2,100

• Current Cash position was discussed.  We need to generate additional funds.  The goal is electricity to the dugout.  $5,000 was approved for equipment.

• Uniforms were ordered for season.

• Future Fundraisers:

1. T-Shirt Sale- ordered 100-150 t-shirts for kids to sell.
2. Clinics- 2 weekends in Jan.  12-16 year olds.  Sat am/Sun afternoon.  Will charge $35.
3. Coaches Committee- Sell Apparel-  Intended to support and show off pride of baseball field
4. 100 Inning Game- will be held in Feb. 2003.  Last year raised $2,200.
5. Banners/Ads- our biggest fundraiser:  Between ads and corp. sponsors/banners, we grossed $11,000 last year.  The books and banners cost $4,700.  Net was $5-6,000.  This year’s goal is to net $10,000.  Everyone should start making lists for contacts.

• Training and Conditioning:

Currently M-W-F- weight room

CABA Training with Coach Duenas and DiRosa- T-TH- 3 to 5 PM

Holiday Schedule will be forthcoming

• Next General Meeting will be held the first Thursday of the month- January 9, 2003 at 7:30 P.M.  A board meeting will be held prior to the general meeting.  The Board meeting to be announced.
