Welcome: Kevin Maggiore called the meeting to order for Dave McDonald who was attending a meeting with the AD regarding the electrical project. Sheri Lambert moved to approve the minutes from the November 6th meeting, which motion was seconded by Dave Hardeman and passed.
Sponsorships: Incentives for sponsorships/yearbook ads was discussed. The club’s goal is to raise $20,000 from sales with $10,000 raised by 1/5/04. Coach Bisceglia is going to place the players in “teams” of three to canvass various parts of Dade County in search of sales. Each player on a “team” that accumulates $1500. will receive a maple bat.
Ensuring that renewals are secured for the following year, the club discussed the idea of Coach Bisceglia sending out a recognition letter in September for past sponsorship and requesting renewal. The player securing the original sponsorship would again get credit if still in school.
Coach Bisceglia indicated that he did not want the players to have to pay for practice shirts and caps. The club discussed asking each family to purchase a “family ad” for $40. in lieu of payment for the practice clothing.
Finances: Teresa Petersen discussed finances. Presently the club has $2400 in the operating account with $14,000 in reserve for the electrical project.
Quick Items: The club raised approximately $1500 at the Speedway. Marion Dees reported 18 paid families/members.
Earlier this evening, Dave McDonald, Randy Flick and Dave Bisceglia met with the Softball program, A.P. Brown and A.D. Siegfriedt to discuss the electrical project. The softball program indicated that it wishes to participate in the electrical project and would like to draw on the same power source by possibly extending the trench to the third base dugout. A slight modification of the plans will be needed to accommodate the request for equity. The club will likely need $20,000 to complete the project.
The containers have been delayed but will arrive the following week.

Karen Gayle briefly discussed the Holiday Party and passed around a sign up sheet for dishes.
Carol Maggiore discussed the garage sale scheduled for Saturday. Carol went over the assignment of primary responsibility for the various committees needed to ensure a smooth sale. Shari Lambert requested crews for set-up arrive at 5:30 am. Drop off of items would be available on Friday from 3-7 p.m. by the baseball fields or in Coach Bisceglia’s office. Eileen Parsons placed the ad in the Herald to appear on Friday and Saturday mornings. Additional tents, tables, ladders are needed. Pre-mark as many items as possible. Eileen Parsons will be selling concessions. Mo Blanco will be distributing car wash pre-sales.
Car Wash: Mo Blanco discussed plans for the car wash on Dec. 20. The club is
requesting that as many parents as possible pre-pay $45 for the tickets.
Baseball and Field Issues: Coach Bisceglia reiterated the tremendous headway
that Randy Flick has made with the electrical project.
Coach Bisceglia indicated that he has made a commitment for some new uniforms for which payment will be due in January or so.
The players will condition until the holidays.
Coach Bisceglia intends to field a freshman team but call it 16U. The team will play on Sundays. He likely will have 45 players among the three teams.
Coach Bisceglia discussed briefly the Louisiana trip over spring break and the need for $$$.
The club discussed improvement in the public relations area such as ensuring that player signings, etc. run in the Herald as well as Community Newspapers.
